I kept the giveaway open for the name bracelet a couple more days since Google Friend Connect wasn't playing nice! And then....I don't know what happened then, but I totally blame it on BMB! Baseball Mom Brain! Between practices, games, being the coaches wife, the scorekeeper and the dugout supervisor, organizing where little dude was going during the game, trying to make it to the older kids games out of town, keeping the uniforms clean when I had people living in my laundry room! I think I get a pass. Or at least I really hope I do. So when Brook Anna from Mommydoes emailed me I have to say I was a little bit like "oy, totally spaced that"! So here it is ladies!

Chicken Scratch

It has been a while since I updated you on the lives of our chickens! So much for my plan of writing a weekly post! But all is well in our little chicken family....I thought today would be a great day to show off our coop and my beautiful ladies!

We purchased our feeder and waterer, and I am so pleased with both of them. We hung the feeder from a wire from the ceiling, which keeps the chickens from scratching shavings into it and also keeps pest from getting in. The waterer is sat up on bricks so that the chickens cannot get shavings in it, they still get a few in but not nearly as many. I am so pleased with our new feeder and waterer. These little missies where so messy before and now they are trouble free. I like that. Alot.

We have had one tragedy, one little chickie was more athletic than the rest and would routinely hop out of her box (which was in the bathroom) without problems, I never would have dreamed she might accidentally hop out of her box, into the toilet, and drown! Oh my goodness, the sadness! I felt like such a bad chickie Mommy! 

We still need to name our little girls, now that they are looking very different from one another I think the middle mister and I will need to get on that! 

Graduation on the Brain!

Right now I am working on graduation ides for Brea's Graduation Party, so far it has been a ton of fun! I made these little party favor hats for the party. I am not exactly sure how many people are going to be here, but I made 30 boxes. I figured that would be plenty. I will show you how to make them soon but right now I need to make an announcement!

I have been too sick to attend my own party! I have tons of cute graduation ideas coming up but man I have not felt good this week so I am changing the dates of the Sparkly Gifts Linky Party!

May 15th - Grad Party Started

May 29th - Fathers Day Party Started

June 12th - Brides Party Started

June 26th - Baby Party Started

I finally went to the Dr. last night and he said that I have an underlying breathing problem and that when I get sick it decides to become a Full Force breathing problem. That explains alot, so now I have pills to help me sleep, and inhaler and antibiotics to fight the bronchitis. Thank you Jesus! I believe that we are somehow blessed everyday and last night I sure was blessed. By having a friend of mine admit me to ER, to having a chance to smooth some rough spots with DH, to having Dr. BlueEyes (dreamy!) take great care of me and being patient, and caring and also take charge, we are going to fix this!

Again, I say Rejoice!

This is simply a day to salute sharply to all of the men and women in all branches of the service who protect our country and you. They can be called upon at a moment's notice to perform a risky and perilous mission for freedom and country. They train diligently both physically and mentally so they will be prepared to prevail in any mission they face.
Just how did it all begin? Well, each branch of the military had their own day of celebration. But, on August 31, 1949 then Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of Armed Forces Day. President Harry Truman also announced the holiday in a presidential proclamation on February 20, 1950.
